About Us

Kirby has done golf repair and assembly as a hobby for nearly 20 years. In 2001, with Mentor Dick Bogdan, a decision was made to get credentialed by getting state of the art training from technical experts. The school of choice was the GolfWorks in Newark, Ohio. The GolfWorks was started in 1976 by Ralph Maltby who literally wrote the book on golf club fitting, design, alteration, and repair. His schools are qualified by the PGA of America for continuing education. They are also approved for the Professional Clubmakers Society (PCS).
Kirby attended the Fitting, Assembly and Repair School in January 2002. This is the most comprehensive training program available in clubmaking and repair today.
In July 2002, Kirby qualified and was invited to attend the Masters Program, an elite program for those who wished to be challenged at the highest levels of golf equipment expertise.
In April 2005, Kirby attended the Professional Clubfitting School for advanced training in Custom Clubfitting.
In May 2006, Kirby completed the GCA Professional Clubmaker Accreditation.
Kirby also achieved the title of Certified “Class A” Clubmaker by completing the Professional Clubmakers Society certification exam. The PCS is an authority in custom clubmaking, so the rank certified “Class A” sets a standard for clubmaking excellence in the clubmaking industry.

Remember, Golf is a great game; it can be addictive, and it can be frustrating! You may beat if one day, but it will be lying in wait to try and beat you the next. Since we are all different, and most of us as a goal would like to improve, this can be approached in different ways.
There are six “P’s” in golf: Practice, Play, Positive Attitude, Proper Fit, Playing Quality Equipment, and Professional Swing Instruction.
Hopefully this will give you, the golfer, something to think about and perhaps an avenue of approach toward continual improvement and understanding how properly designed golf clubs affect your score. |
